Our People
As a whaling port that rose to global prominence in the 1800s, New Bedford attracted immigrants from all over the world including Cape Verde, Portugal, and other European nations. Today, we are proud to add citizens from Puerto Rico and Central America to a community tapestry that continues to value a strong work ethic, inclusion, and diversity of every kind.
