NEW BEDFORD — On Tuesday, New Bedford Creative announced 82 grant awards, teasing several new events from the NB Roots & Branches to New Bedford Festival Theatre on Tour, set for the city in 2024.
“I’m beyond excited to see these projects and artists funded this year — residents of New Bedford and our region are in for some amazing events and experiences,” said Margo Saulnier, director and creative strategist for the New Bedford Creative.
Awarded $10,000 by the Wicked Cool Places grant, the NB Roots & Branches expects to return after a successful first year, to provide a festival of “everything acoustic by and for the people” that aims to reach an audience that is broad and representative of the various communities of greater New Bedford.
