The Federal Government is the largest buyer of goods and services in the country. The Federal Government has small business set asides and a goal to purchase from small businesses across the nation.
There are 2 certifications that give small businesses an advantage when working with the Federal Government:
- HUBZone Certification
- 8(a) Business Development Program
On Thursday, October 8 at 5:00pm-6:30pm, the Small Business Administration (SBA) team will be at the Quest Center to answer questions and guide you to getting connected and potentially certified in both programs.

Besides the government, large prime contractors also have goals to use businesses located in HUBZones!

8(a) Business Development Program:
This program is specifically designated for business who are 51% Black, Hispanic, Asian American, Native American Designated. The business must exist for a minimum of 2 years and have a net worth of under $250,000.00
